CS Santosh Confirms 2016 Dakar Rally With Suzuki 450 Rally

CS Santosh confirms that he will be taking part in 2016 edition of Dakar Rally. Once again he will be the only rider from India to participate in the gruelling endurance race. CS Santosh will be taking part in his second Dakar Rally challenge, after 2015 being the first time he participated in the rally.

In the 2015 edition of Dakar Rally, CS Santosh finished the competition in an impressive 36th position. CS Santosh's personal goal for 2016 Dakar Rally challenge is to break into the top 20. Red Bull India and CEAT Tyres will be providing support to the sole Indian Dakar Rally participant.

Over 152 riders will be participating in the 2016 edition of Dakar Rally. CS Santosh will adorn competition number 52, which is the same number he rode with last year. For the 2016 Dakar Rally, CS Santosh will ride a rally-prepped Suzuki 450 Rally motorcycle.

CS Santosh has several victories under his belt in Indian as well as international competitions. Over the years he has won the Maruti Suzuki Raid de Himalaya, Fox Hill Supercross, Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm, and Asian Motocross Championship.

2016 edition of Dakar Rally is being organised from January 3 to 16, 2016. The rally will consist of thirteen gruelling stages that test both, machine as well as the rider. Participants will have to cover a total distance of 9,000 kilometres.
