Launch Alert: Benelli Might Launch The TNT 25 In India
Benelli could launch of the TNT 25 motorcycle in India during December. When launched, the TNT 25 will be the company's first and only single cylinder motorcycle on offer, and will be placed below the TNT 300, as an entry level motorcycle.
The Benelli TNT 25 borrows styling cues from its older sibling, the TNT 300. The TNT 25 will be a naked street motorcycle with minimal bodywork and an exposed steel trellis frame. The motorcycle was showcased during the 2015 India Bike Week (IBW).
Powering the TNT 25 is a 250cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 25bhp and 22Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The overall weight of the motorcycle is expected to be around 150kg.
The TNT 25 is equipped with disc brakes up front and at the rear and 17-inch wheels, with 110 (front tyre profile) and 140 (rear tyre profile). Also featured on the Benelli TNT 25 are inverted forks for the front and a mono-shock at the rear.
The Benelli TNT 25 is expected to be priced below Rs. 2 lakh, which places it in direct competition with the KTM Duke 200 and the Pulsar NS.
DriveSpark Thinks! If Benelli gets the pricing right, the motorcycle could do wonders in terms of sales for the company.
