Aprilia RSV4R WSBK Peformance Packages — Which Package Would You Opt For?
Aprilia currently participates in both MotoGP and WSBK Championships. The RSV4R superbike already has several components from their racing projects. Now, Aprilia plans on providing customers with a performance package that will boost power output.
This performance package known as the 'Factory Works Program' is expected to make the RSV4R as powerful as their WSBK machinery. The Factory Works Program is expected to boost performance to 226.85bhp.
On offer will be four levels in their Factory Works Program. Customers can choose any of their preferred performance options pack. Each one of them gets a special name and technical support for making the Aprilia RSV4R even better than its current avatar.
The first Factory Works Program RSV4R-FW Stock1 MM Race will offer forged rims, ECU, Ohlins suspension, race fairing, Akrapovic exhaust, and a simplified cooling system.
The second performance pack, RSV4R-FW Stock2 APX Race will offer a lightweight lithium battery and race electronics, that include data acquisition, engine control, custom ignition. The engine on the RSV4R will be tuned first-hand by Aprilia Racing.
The third performance pack, RSV4R-FW SBK will offer the motorcycle with the first two packs, along with an electronic gearbox with shift assist. The engine will be tuned to perform like the Aprilia SBK machine. But if you need the WSBK race machine replica... then opt for the fourth performance pack.
The RSV4-FW WSBK, the last of the offering will be a replica of the WSBK machine, which was raced by Max Biaggi, Jordi Torres, and Leon Haslam in WSBK. Aprilia will develop the machine according to riders budget and fantasy.
Several manufacturers have currently taken this route of offering customers a motorcycle similar to their race prototypes. Previously, Honda launched the RC213V-S motorcycle, which bears a resemblance to their MotoGP bike. Yamaha introduced the YZF-R1M motorcycle that is almost the same bike used by Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo.
