2016 Yamaha YZF-R1M Bookings Open From October
Yamaha is to open bookings for the 2016 YZF-R1M from the first of October 2015. The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer will open online bookings for the motorcycle.
When the R1M 2015 edition was launched, Yamaha managed to sell out the motorcycle within hours from the time it was announced.

The Yamaha YZF-R1M is a more track focused machine compared to the regular R1. It uses some MotoGP technology from the bikes Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo race.
The specs of the 2016 model will be the same as the 2015 model. Here is a closer look:
- 998cc, in-line four cylinder engine
- 197 horsepower
- 6-speed manual transmission
- 200 kg kerb weight
Here are some of the features of the Yamaha R1M:
- Ohlins Electronic Racing Suspension (ERS)
- Communications Control Unit (CCU)
- Carbon-fiber bodywork
- Titanium exhaust
- Traction control
- Slide control
- Launch control
When launched, the 2015 model sold for INR 35,44,587 (on-road, Mumbai).
Owners of the 2016 model will also get access to Yamaha Racing Experience-a program to acquire competitive riding knowledge, under Colin Edwards, who was a professional racer, but now is the factory test rider.
Customers under this program will also learn how to set up their motorcycles to their personal riding styles and conditions.
