Yamaha Wants Rossi To Ride Better
The phrase, what goes around comes back around, is apt in the MotoGP world. Kouichi Tsuji, team boss of development explains the Yamaha YZR-M1 of Lorenzo and Rossi, and their personal development on the machine.
Tsuji believes Valentino Rossi has to adapt to the bike developed by Lorenzo and not the other way round. The machine currently is developed by, and for Lorenzo. Which seems to be a winning combination and Rossi will have to adapt his riding style based on it.
In the past the story has been opposite with Lorenzo having to learn and adapt to Rossi's mechanical know-how. The Italian onboard the Yamaha between 2004-2009 had developed the most lethal combination of a race winner.

Lorenzo mastered the prototype machine and then further engineered it to suit his race style. Tsuji explains Yamaha cannot produce a 'Rossi M1' in time before the season opener. Money and Technology is not an issue, however a bike cannot be prepared in a short period as such.
He further added saying that even if Yamaha would give Rossi the 2009 bike, the Italian would not be as good as he performed in 2013.
Kouichi Tsuji could not give a comparo of Rossi and Lorenzo's bikes. He sounded evasive when asked what Yamaha is doing about Rossi's braking issues. Tsuji stated, "In 2009, with the setup used at the end of the season, Valentino was able to win races even though he could not do a good lap time. But now it is not so."
Is Yamaha telling Rossi how to ride or have they lost hope from him, comment below and let us know if you think Rossi's days are numbered in the MotoGP paddock?
