TVS Motors Report 35% Growth In Q2 Of 2014

TVS Motor Company Limited has been founded by Sundaram in 1978. They currently have three two-wheeler facilities and a single three-wheeler plant.The Indian manufacturer specialises in motorcycles, scooters and three-wheeler vehicles.

The Indian manufacturer has reported a growth of 35 percent in Q2. The quarter ended in September, 2014. TVS Motors managed to sell 6,48,000 vehicles in the quarter compared to 4,79,000 vehicles that it sold in the corresponding quarter.

TVS sold 1,97,000 motorcycles in Q2 of 2013, however, in Q2 of 2014 they managed to sell 2,55,000 motorcycles. The motorcycle market has grown by 29 percent for the manufacturer. Their scooter market grew by 68 percent in Q2.

In Q2 of 2014 TVS scooter managed to sell 1,95,000 units. TVS Motors managed to sell 1,16,000 scooter in Q2 of 2013. Their three-wheeler market has also risen by 24 percent, sale haves risen by 27,946 units compared to 22,606 units.

TVS recently launched its Scooty Zest 110, along with Jupiter and StaR City+. They will be soon launching new product in the Indian market. The Indian manufacturer will be introducing new products to its export portfolio as well to increase their sales.

TVS Motor Company Indonesia has registered a total two wheeler sales of 6752 vehicles, as compared to 5187 units that it sold in the corresponding quarter. The upward growth of TVS is a positive sign and is expected to continue with more interesting products coming out of their stables.
