Suzuki Access & Swish Also Likely To Receive SEP Engine Tech
Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited launched the Let's 110cc personal scooter in Bangalore yesterday. The Let's offers class leading performance and economy, which is made possible by its new SEP engine.
SEP stands for Suzuki Eco Performance and the 112cc engine powering the Let's is the only one that incorporates this technology.
To be exact, SEP is not a technology, but is an amalgamation of improvements done to the engine which decrease losses, thus making it possible to extract performance without compromising on fuel economy.
The Let's is thus able to deliver 8.7 horsepower and peak torque of 9 Nm, while still providing a mileage of 63 kpl.

Suzuki Eco Performance is similar to Honda Eco Technology. The latter has been introduced across Honda's scooter range as well as few of its mileage motorcycle models.
Therefore, it is only a matter of time before SEP is introduced to other Suzuki scooter models and possibly its commuter bikes as well.
When we asked Mr. Atul Gupta, Executive Vice President, Suzuki Motorcycle India whether SEP would make it to the Access and Swish scooters, his response was optimistic, saying he hopes so.
The Let's with SEP already delivers better claimed mileage than the HET equipped Honda Dio. There's no doubt that Access and Swish with SEP would also undercut the Activa in terms of mileage.
