2014 Auto Expo Offering By Piaggio
Piaggio is gearing up for the 2014 Auto Expo and will be showcasing bikes from Moto Guzzi and aprilia stables. In the stalls could be the California 1400 and Bellagio from Moto Guzzi, while the RSV4 from the Italian outfit Aprilia may be displayed.
No new model from Vespa will be launched at the 2014 Auto Expo. A Vespa S model, however could be launched at the end of the month. The scooter will sport the same 125cc mill as seen on the Vespa LX and VX models, with minor changes.
The Italian plans to showcase the 946, LX125, VX125 and the S model. Piaggio will also feature their light commercial vehicle offerings. The Italian has rented twice the space since the previous edition and will have a grand and well spaced presence in this year's Auto Expo.
Moto Guzzi and Aprilia are available in India by Piaggio based on demands. However, plans to increase the brand's presence is ongoing and attempts to widen the dealer network is a definite, currently there are two options Pune and New Delhi.
The Italian bike manufacturer plans to get it's future bikes via the CKD route. Piaggio believes, there is potential in the Indian market, however the CKD option is the best way to move forward.
