Mahindra Two Wheelers October, 2014 Sales Report
Indian automobile manufacturer Mahindra is relatively new in the two wheeler segment. They have recently launched their completely ground up scooter. Mahindra christened their scooter ‘Gusto' and is being noticed by several Indians that opt for automatic scooters.
Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. is part of Mahindra Group that stands currently at USD 16.5 billion. They have revealed to us their sales report for October, 2014. The Indian manufacturer reveals selling 22,404 vehicles.
Mahindra, however, had managed to sell 29,696 vehicles back in October, 2013. This is a decrease in sales figures compared to last year in the same month. The have witnessed an increase in terms of sales compared to September, 2014, where they sold 17,565 vehicles.
Viren Popli, Chief of Operations, Mahindra Two Wheelers expressed, "The response to our new scooter Gusto has been very good and we are ramping up our production capacity to meet the demand."
He further added, "The Centuro range has also seen significant uptake in demand and we expect to increase our market share over the next few months." The festive season has surely played a vital role in boost of sales, along with the launch of the Gusto, which is gathering momentum.
Mahindra currently offers a range of motorcycles and scooters in India. Their domestic scooter range include the recently launched Gusto, Rodeo UZO 125, Rodeo RZ, Duro DZ, Flyte and Kine.
The Indian automobile giant also offers motorcycles. They include the likes of Pantero, Centuro and Centuro Rockstar. Mahindra is expected to launch its much-awaited 300cc motorcycle that they call ‘Mojo', which is expected to take sales to the next level for Mahindra Two Wheelers department.
