Mahindra Centuro Anti-Theft System Works
Mahindra launched their feature rich Centuro last year. It has since then become the fastest selling motorcycle in India, thanks to the attractive price it sells for and a bunch of features that are not available on any other commuter vehicle.
The centuro sports an internationally patented anti-theft system, which has an alarm as well as an engine immobilizer. This system by Mahindra is supposed to work flawlessly and a recent owner of the Centuro Mr. Longri I. Aier, had reported his bike stolen.
The smart owner will get his Centuro back, which the robber could not start. The person who had stolen the bike had tried everything possible by altering the wiring as well as the locking system.
The robber had dragged the Centuro from which the only parts that he could rob were the golden ribs in the front near the engine. He even robbed the number plate right before he could abandon it as the anti-theft system prevented him from starting the bike, which meant it was useless for the reasons he wanted it.
The incident took place in Nagaland and the complaint was filed with Dimapur Police. They found the Centuro by Mahindra in an isolated part of the city. It was a tough task finding the bike, which is returned to the owner. The important thing to remember is that the Centuro, which is made in India has proven that their system is foolproof.
"I am very happy to be reunited with my stolen motorcycle as it's impossible to ever trace stolen bikes in this part of the country. I am glad to have purchased a Mahindra Centuro as the anti theft mechanism deterred the thief from stealing my bike," explained Mr. Longri I. Aier.
More bikes should be offered with the anti-theft system. We all purchase our bikes with our hard earned money, so this type of a safety feature should atleast be offered by other manufacturers.
The Centuro by Mahindra is a commuter motorcycle which, sports a MCi-5 engine. It generates 8.5 Nm of peak torque along with 8.5 bhp, this helps in achieving a fuel economy of 85.4 kpl. Mahindra also offers a 5 year warranty to the owner.
The Centuro offers their bike with first in its class features like anti-theft system with an engine immobilizer, find me lamps, guide lamps and encrypted remote flip key.
