Kawasaki H2 Expected To Come To India By Mid 2015
Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, Kawasaki recently launched its flagship motorcycle. The H2 and H2R were official unveiled at 2014 INTERMOT, it was recently showcased to public at 2014 EICMA motor show. Both bikes boast of enormous power figures and gizmos.
Kawasaki H2R is their track only model and is available in limited numbers. The Japanese manufacturer has also prepared a street legal version of their hyper bike, which they have christened as H2. Now the manufacturer claims it could offer the street version in India as well.
The Ninja H2 will come with an expected price tag of INR 25,00,000 to INR 30,00,000. Kawasaki says that they could bring the flagship motorcycle to India as soon as mid 2015. The manufacturer wants to be the first to offer their next-gen products in India and thus beating Yamaha and Honda.
The motorcycle will sport an in-line 4-cylinder 998cc liquid cooled engine. It does not sound like much, however, with a supercharger being attached to it makes a huge difference. Kawasaki has electronically restricted the hyper bike to 197.18 horsepower, along with 135 Nm of peak torque. It also gets a ram air-intake which, generates 10 additional horses.
The Japanese engineers have provided several electronic aids to make it an easy to ride hyper bike. It gets Kawasaki Quick Shifter, Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-lock Brake System, Kawasaki Launch Control Mode, Kawasaki Traction Control and many more rider aids to make it a safe ride.
The Kawasaki Ninja H2 is available in a single paint scheme called Mirror Coated Black. It gets a high tensile steel Trellis frame and the motorcycle will weigh 238.04 kilograms with all liquids on board. We will have to wait and see if Japanese engineers further detune their engine for Indian buyers, as a safety measure.
