Indian Setting Up First Dealership In India

Iconic motorcycle cruiser brand, Indian Motorcycles have already launched their range of bikes in India. They however, did not have a showroom yet. On the seventh of May, 2014 Indian will inaugurate their first-ever Indian showroom. The new dealership will be located at B-10, Infocity, sector-34, Gurgaon Haryana.

Bennett Morgan, Chief Operating Officer, Polaris Industries will be present at the inauguration of the dealership along with Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director, Polaris India.

The Indian motorcycle company will be offering their range of cruisers in India. These will include the Indian Chief Classic, Indian Chief Vintage and the Indian Chieftain. All the bikes are unique and rich in heritage.

The iconic cruiser brand has a long and rich heritage - it was founded in 1901 by George M. Hendee and Carl Oscar Hedstrom. Indian is known to have participated in the Isle of Man TT, where they won the first three positions in the 1911 edition of the race.

The company had stop production of their motorcycles in 1953 because it went bankrupt. Polaris Industries brought the brand back to life in 2011, and they shifted its base to North Carolina.
