Indian Scout Showcased At BFI

Polaris India Pvt. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Polaris Industries, showcased the newly launched motorcycle, the Indian Scout for the first time in India during the Bike Festival of India.

The company showcased four bikes in the two-day festival, which included the Indian Scout, the Indian Chief Classic, the Indian Chief Vintage and Indian Chieftain.

Pankaj Dubey, the Managing Director of Polaris India said that the launch of the Indian Scout has stirred a wave of enthusiasm in India. He said that he was confident that the motorcycle will be a success here in India.

The motorcycle will be priced at INR 11.99 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The bookings for the motorcycle are open and deliveries will start from January 2015.

The Indian Scout was recently launched in the US by the parent company while the bookings were open since August in India. The motorcycle introduces the first ever liquid-cooled engine and a 69 cubic inch V-twin engine that produces 100 hp.

The Indian Motorcycles Chief range was launched early this year in India. The Chief range is powered by Thunder Stroke 111 engine that produces 139 Nm of torque at 2600 rpm. The 49-degree V-Twin engine is the new heart of Indian Motorcycle.

The Indian Motorcycle is available at India's first and only Indian Motorcycle showroom at the moment, in Gurgaon, Haryana. The showroom displays the entire range of the Indian Motorcycle: Indian Chief Classic, Indian Chief Vintage and Indian Chieftain Models.
