Honda India To Launch CBR300R By 2014 End
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has been the first to offer an affordable quarter litre motorcycle. The CBR250R has been in India for a while now and the Japanese manufacturer has not updated the bike since its launch. They have been introducing various paint schemes.
Japanese automobile manufacturer has been struggling with sales of their quarter litre bike. With new products coming in from its competitors Honda has to make a move forward. They will be launching a new and more powerful CBR300r that will replace the CBR250R in most markets. They new bike is expected to be launched by the end of 2014.
The CBR300R by Honda will sport a larger capacity 286cc single cylinder engine. The 4-stroke liquid cooled engine will produce 27 Nm of peak torque along with a maximum power output of 29 bhp. The Japanese engine will be paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The CBR300R will not have similar styling like its previous generation CBR250R. The main change in styling will be to the front headlight, which will now sport dual headlamps. The other change will be the omitting of the older bulkier exhaust can with a smaller and better looking exhaust. The seating position has been further improved.
We expect Honda to launch its CBR300R in India at an attractive price of roughly INR 2,80,000 for the standard variant. The CBR300R ABS model will cost approximately INR 3,20,000. The Japanese motorcycle will be offered in developed markets before finally coming to India by this year end.
When launched the CBR300R will face competition from the soon to launch KTM RC390, Yamaha R25, Hyosung GD250N and current bikes like the Inazuma and Kawasaki's Ninja 300. Honda has an established name and most buyers love the reliability the motorcycle provides. It will be a great moment for buyers as we will be spoiled with options for sure.
