Honda Activa Becomes Best Selling Two Wheeler In India
Honda Activa becomes the best selling two wheeler in India for the third time this July in the past 11 months. Keeping the upcoming festive season in mind, Honda is looking to cash in on this situation.
For the third time in 11 months, the Honda Activa has outsold the Splendor, made by Hero MotoCorp. In July this year, the Activa sold 1,91,883 units while the Splendor sold 1,65,779 units.
In the past, Activa had outsold the Splendor in September 2013, selling 1,41,996 units against 1,24,217 units of Splendor and in March this year when the Activa sold 1,77,928 units while 1,63,778 units of Hero MotoCorp's Splendor was sold.
Yadvinder S Guleria, Vice President, Sales & Marketing for HMSI said that since its launch 14 years ago in 2001, there still is a waiting period for the Activa. This only shows that customers still have a strong preference for the scooter.
