Fiat Plans To Buy MV Agusta
Italian car manufacturer Fiat is planning to buy fellow compatriot company MV Agusta. This will be the first time it will buy out a motorcycle company.
Fiat currently is the parent company to ALfa Romeo, Abarth, Chrysler, Dodge, Ferrari, Jeep, Lancia Maserati, Ram Trucks and SRT. They currently own entire Chrysler shares and are Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
It is a noticeable trend among European companies of late, where car manufacturers buy out motorcycle manufactures.

In 2012 Volkswagen Group bought Ducati motorcycles and have been helping the manufacturer develope their bikes.
BMW prior to building cars was manufacturing motorcycles, they also owned Husqvarna brand for a period now.
It would be great if Fiat would buy MV Agusta and help the Italian brand to stay afloat in the competitive environment.

It would be great to see if Fiat would really want to invest in a niche segment player like MV agusta. They buy out will involve a lot of money and Fiat may really not make a profit from the acquisition.
The MV Agusta brand faded off due to the emergence of the affordable and reliable Japanese machines. The Italian dominated the racing arena before the likes of Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki began their reign.
MV Agusta builds pieces of art and not just a bike, their philosophy is if their bike is kept in a living room it should catch everyones attention just like art. MV Agusta believes they make art on two wheels.
