Dainese Selected As Isle Of Man Safety Partner

By Ajinkya

The most dangerous and perhaps the only street race to take place on earth currently, 'The Isle Of Man TT' is just a week away. The 37+ mile track goes through houses, churches, hospitals and more. The roads will be filled with road racing fans from around the world, while the bikes and riders will battle for top honours at the legendary track.

Dainese has been opted by the Isle Of Man TT officials as their safety partner. This is the seventh time that Dainese has been chosen as the official partner for the legendary race on the island. Dainese was first selected as the safety partner in the year 2008.

This year Dainese will be getting a mix of riders who are popular in the racing fraternity. They will get former MotoGP World Champion Nicky Hayden along with two-time MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo. Suzuki's ace rider Kevin Schwantz will also be present.

Dainese will also get Multiple World Champion of MotoGP Valentino Rossi. He will be accompanied by the only person to win more World Championships than Rossi, Giacomo Agostini.

Dainese will benefit from the Isle Of Man TT as they will receive important data from their riders at the world's toughest and most dangerous race. The data will help them further better their airbag system, D-air Racing. They have put in a lot of effort on their project and would like to keep making their system as safe as possible.

Fabio Muner, Marketing Manager of Dainese said,"We are so pleased to be entering our seventh year as the Official Safety Partner for the Isle of Man TT races. It's an important event to be involved in as a company and has helped with the development and data collection for the D-air Racing."

He further added,"In racing conditions where anything can happen and isn't on a prepared short circuit. To also be able to provide the travelling Marshals with their kit once again is vital as they too need good protection when riding and attending incidents."

On Saturday, even Marshals will be wearing a Dainese one-piece race suit. They will also be wearing race boots, gloves as well as a back protector. They will have to wear the gear through the fortnight of work at the Isle Of Man.
