BMW Unveil Their 2015 F 800 R Roadster
German manufacturer BMW produces cars as well as motorcycles. Their bikes are sold under BMW Motorrad branding. Currently the 2014 EICMA motorcycle show is ongoing in Milan, Paris. They have introduced their new roadster model for 2015.
At the EICMA's century show BMW Motorrad has gone ahead to unveil its F 800 R model. The naked bike is one of the two launches that the German manufacturer has gone ahead with.
The German manufacturer has provided its naked motorcycle with a parallel twin cylinder 798 cc engine. It will be capable of producing maximum power of 88.7 bhp, along with 86 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox and gets liquid cooling system.
This is the second generation model of F 800 R and is being positioned as a 2015 motorcycle. They have revised the handlebars and footpegs on their motorcycle. BMW has also redesigned the headlights, fenders, wheels, along with the radiator shield.
German engineers have provided the motorcycle with double front discs with radial brake calipers. It also gets Up Side Down front forks, along with a mono shock setup in the rear attached to a regular swingarm.
BMW will also be providing their F 800 R with Automatic Stability Control, Electronic Suspension Adjustment and reduced power output. All these features will be optional and would not come as standard equipment. ABS will come as standard fitment with the motorcycle as part of their ‘Safety 360' philosophy.
