BMW Motorrad Launches R nineT In India
BMW is going aggressive by launching several luxury, performance cars in India. They are also upping their ante in their two wheeler segment. The German automobile manufacturer had recently launched its power packed S1000R in India for INR 26,50,000.
BMW Motorrad has now launched a more humble motorcycle in the Indian market. The Germans have christened it the R nineT, it is a naked street motorcycle. It It is the best of both worlds, as it ha typical retro BMW design with a modern engine underneath its skin.
The neo-retro motorcycle by BMW Motorrad has been launched in India at an attractive INR 23,50,000 ex-showroom, Mumbai. It sports a gigantic 1,170cc, 4-stroke engine. It has a air/oil cooled flat twin engine, also known as the 'Boxer' engine.

The BMW R nineT can easily reach top speed of 200 km/h, while still returning a fuel efficiency of 4.5 litres for every 100 kilometres. The Engine is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox and is shaft driven.
BMW Motorrad has divided the chassis for R nineT into four sections. One section is dedicated to the front end, while the other three take car of the rest. The pillion section of the frame can be removed to make it a single seater motorcycle.

There are many accessories that can be opted with BMW's R nineT motorcycle. Akrapovic exhaust system, aluminium tail cover, carbon fibre components among many others can be opted for as accessories. The motorcycle has no direct competition in India, however, Triumph is offering it entire range in India and have more competitive pricing.
