Bajaj To Launch Discover 150S On 11th August

Indian two wheeler giant Bajaj will be launching a new motorcycle to its Discover range on the 11th of August, 2014. The manufacturer will be launching a Discover 150S model, and its dealers have begun accepting bookings. Bajaj plans to launch two variants of the motorcycle: one naked version and the other with semi-fairing.

The Discover 150S will be positioned as the most powerful offering in the Discover range of motorcycle. To keep costs of its new motorcycle in check, it will share several parts with existing Discover models. The Discover 150S draws several design cues from the 125ST model.

Bajaj will provide its Discover 150S with a brand new DTS-i 150cc engine. The engine will generate 13.8 horsepower, and will be paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Indian manufacturer has not revealed fuel efficiency and performance figures. The motorcycle gets a disc brake up front with a drum brake in the rear.

The Discover 150S will sit below the Pulsar line and will be the top most offering in the Discover range. Bajaj have provided the motorcycle with an analogue instrument cluster, while the switches are expected to be borrowed from the 125 ST model.

The two new variants Discover 150S and Discover 150F targets those wanting more value for their money. Bajaj is all set to revolutionise the commuter segment of motorcycles in India. The bike can be booked before launch and there are rumors that the motorcycle has already reached dealers.

Bajaj has not confirmed prices of the new Discover 150S, it will be revealed at the time of launch. We expect the motorcycle to be priced lesser than the Pulsar range of motorcycles offered in India.
