Yamaha Ray Precious Limited Edition Priced At Rs 48,605
Yamaha Ray, the company's first scooter in India is marketed as a feminine vehicle. Keeping up with its image the brand also sponsors certain beauty pageants. Their latest limited production Precious Edition seems to be the result of that, which also serves the dual purpose of attracting buyers during the festive season.
Yamaha Ray Precious Edition is nothing more than a regular Ray dressed in special graphics. The scooter wears black paint, which is adorned with pink graphics. The front sides of the scooter is marked by the wordings "Precious Edition", while the "Ray Cygnus" stickers appear on the rear sides.
The engine remains untouched. The 113cc air cooled single cylinder 4 stroke unit continues to deliver 7 HP and 8.1 Nm torque.
Yamaha Ray Precious Edition is priced at Rs 48,605, while the regular Yamaha Ray is available for 47,107. The male oriented Yamaha Ray Z, which features sporty decals, is still priced higher at Rs 49,105. (all prices are ex-shworoom, Delhi).
Roy Kurian, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. said, "The launch of the Ray Precious Edition is a clear illustration of how the market has responded to our range of scooters and reinforces our belief in the Yamaha Ray."

He added, "We have kept the essence of the Yamaha Ray intact while altering the aesthetics to exemplify the glamour quotient of these compact and easy to ride vehicles. We are confident that this variant too with its vibrant black and pink design will highly appeal to our target audiences and help us tap on the festive spirits of the market."
