Yamaha Launches Special Edition FZ-S And Fazer
Yamaha Motor India has come out with a special edition of its FZ-S and Fazer motorcycles ahead of the festive season. As is always the case, the special edition models offer just a few visual updates in the form of new colour and graphics.
The new colour the special edition adds to the palette is ‘Battle Green'. Accompanying it is a new set of aggressive graphics in yellow. And that's about it.
Nothing has changed in the engine department. The 153cc, air cooled, 14HP and 13.6 nm torque engine still does duty, aided by a 5 speed gearbox. Yamaha FZ-S Special Edition is available for Rs 74,385 while the Fazer Special Edition comes for Rs 79,485.
This is not the first time the FZ Series has received similar visual updates. Since its launch in 2008 Yamaha has tried to keep the demand alive by the way of adding new colour schemes. The only significant change since launch has been the introduction of a larger pillion seat.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Roy Kurian, Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. said, "The launch of the special edition of the FZ series is a clear illustration of how the market has responded to our motorcycles in this series. Our strategic intent is to provide customers with stylish new variants of the FZ series to match his personal style."
"These bikes have been instrumental in catapulting our sales to an all new level. We have kept the essence of FZ series bikes intact while altering the aesthetics to exemplify the masculine feeling these tough machines are known for. We are confident that these variants too will be an instant hit among the biking enthusiasts," he added.
