WSBK India Round At Buddh International Circuit Cancelled
India will not host the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) that was scheduled to take place at the Buddh International Circuit on November 17th, FIA has confirmed. The decision has been made due to ‘operational challenges' which made safety a concern.
The international motorcycle racing event was initially scheduled for March, to host the second race of the season, but was postponed to November to help the circuit staff prepare for its first international motorcycle race. Now it looks like at the very best India will get to host WSBK only after 2014.

FMSCI President Vicky Chandhok said, "JPSI confirms its interest in going ahead with the race in the future. We look forward to them concluding an arrangement with Dorna (WSBK rights holder) in order to arrive at a mutually convenient date and to ensure that India has the privilege of hosting a round in the near future."
This is the second bad news Indian motorsports community has been hit with in quick succession, the first being the cancellation of 2014 Indian Grand Prix. But JPSI and FMSCI are certainly not sitting idle. On 13th and 14th of next month BIA will host four and two wheeler National Championships, which will also aid in preparing the circuit staff for future international racing events.
