Pope Francis Blesses Bikers; Gets Harley Davidsons
Thousands of ‘Bad Boys' & girls riding Harley Davidson motorcycles gathered at St Peter's Square on occasion of the brand's 110th anniversary, where Pope Francis himself blessed the harley Davidson motorcycles and their riders.
What's more, the Pope even received a biker leather jacket and two Harley Davidsons from Mark-Hans Richer, Harley-Davidson's senior vice-president. The Pope refrained from wearing the jacket of course and chose the Popemobile over the Harleys.
Over the weekend several thousand Harley Davidson riders and fans are expected to arrive in Rome to take part in the special celebrations that began today.
Also, as part of the celebrations Harley Davidson has commissioned artist David Uhl to paint an artwork, featuring a 1948 FL Panhead. The image shows the bike parked in San Pietro square, with a priest admiring it. The limited edition artwork will be released in several editions, including a postcard format.
