MV Agusta To Begin Producing Rivale By Mid 2013
The Rivale 800 supermoto form factor motorcycle, revealed by Italian brand MV Agusta at the 2012 EICMA in Milan, Italy was well received by critics as well as the public. If you are among those who has been eagerly awaiting the launch of the Rivale then there is some good news.
MV Agusta has said that the Rivale 800 will arrive some time during the second half of this year, while making the announcement about doubling of registrations of all its models. In its announcement the manufacturer also said that it now holds over 12 percent market share in Europe, while 25 percent of the middle class sports bike segment is held by its F3 675 model.
The Rivale shares its 800cc three cylinder engine with the Brutale 800, which delivers 125 HP at 11,600 rpm and 60 lb-ft of torque at 8600 rpm.
While production is set to begin from mid 2013 delivery of the bike might take some time, which could effectively push it towards the end of the year.
"The new year has started well for us regardless of the negative global market trend" - says Giovanni Castiglioni, President and CEO of the Group - "We are very satisfied with our results to date. I'm convinced that they will tend to grow even further thanks to the arrival of the new RIVALE 800, for which we've already received many orders. We have good reason to look forward to 2013 with optimism."
