Three New Mahindra Pantero Variants Launched

The purpose of introducing the new variants is to provide buyers with more choice, spread across a wider price range. The Pantero T-2 comes with features such as electric start, alloy wheels and analogue instrument cluster. The next mode, T-3 goes one step below, and the electric start is replaced by kick start. The T-4 is the base Pantero model, where even the alloy wheels get replaced by spoke wheels.
Mahindra launched the Pantero model in January and is powered by the MCi-5 engine that has been developed in-house at its Pune R&D center. The engine provides 8.6 PS of power, 8.5 Nm of peak torque and Mahindra claims the engine delivers a mileage of 79.5 kmpl.

T-1: Rs 48,990
T-2: Rs 47,990
T-3: Rs. 45,690
T-4: Rs. 44,690
Mahindra looks to gain significant market share during the current financial year with its two new commuter bike models, the Pantero and Centuro. According to Mahindra's sales press release, during the 2012-13 financial year the two wheeler division sold 1,01,551 units, which includes sales of scooters.
