Mahindra Two Wheelers Grows By 136 Percent In September

While the four wheeler segment of Mahindra is facing challenges owing to the poor state of the market, its two wheeler segment has a totally different story to tell. In September 2013, Mahindra Two Wheelers went on to sell an impressive 20,890 units, which was akin to growing by by 136 percent over September 2012.

Carrying forward the sales success was the new Centuro motorcycle. The Centuro has so far received over 50,000 bookings and a huge chunk of the 20k plus unit sales came from Centuro sales.

Out of the total sales number, 19,716 units reflected domestic sales, which was a growth of 143 percent over Sep 2012.

Mahindra Centuro, a 106cc commuter bike, costs Rs. 46,000 (ex showroom- New Delhi), but offers a bevy of features not found in motorcycles. The feature packed offering has thus proved to be a hit among buyers.
