Mahindra Mojo To Get A Facelift Before Debut
If there is one word to describe Mahindra, India's largest SUV manufacturer, we would say, ambitious. The company which made a name for itself with tractors, pickup trucks and SUVs has expanded to passenger cars, commuter bikes and scooters. In 2010, it even revealed its plans to plant its flag in the beginners' sports bike market, with the reveal of the Mojo.
The Mojo concept, a 300cc category naked sportbike, was unlike anything in the market (and still is). And that, we say, not in a positive way. The bike sported curious design features which many disliked, but the allure of a low cost sport bike still kept the interest flowing. But not anymore.

Mature market
Come 2013, things have changed. The Indian sports bike scene is better than ever, with bikes like Honda CBR 250R, Bajaj 200NS, Ninja 300, and the KTM Dukes. With such a strong competition the old Mojo we saw in 2010 looks ever more unappealing, something that has not missed even Mahindra's attention.

makeover, more or less confirmed
The Mojo is expected to debut in the near future, but with extensive design changes, something which AutocarIndia confirms and is further supported by spottings of test mules.

Bird of prey inspired look? Yes, an owl's
The most important change will come at the front, where the twin headlights will make way for a single unit. We appreciate that since we, along with many others, we are sure, feel the existing twin lamps make it look like an owl.

A redesigned tank
The other expected change will most likely be with the fuel tank. The current one, which looks flat and broad is more likely to make way for a muscular design.

We hope for the best
We could come with several suggestions of our own, but we'd rather wait to see what Mahindra's designers come up with. Do tell us how you feel about the Mojo and what you would like to see changed.
