Mahindra Electric Two Wheelers, Sedan Coming Next?
When it comes to electric cars in India Mahindra Reva is the only option the buyer has. But the situation is completely the opposite when it comes to electric two wheelers. Electric scooters, meant for short city rides are plenty in the country, especially in Bangalore, which has the highest number of electric scooters in the country.
Hence, it comes as a surprise that Mahindra, a pioneer of electric cars in India, does not offer an electric two wheeler. But this will soon change, something which was informally confirmed by Anand Mahindra during the launch event of Mahindra Reva e20 electric car, today.
Mr. Mahindra told the media that the electric technology developed by Reva will be in the future incorporated in Mahindra 2 Wheelers products, but when asked for a time frame he declined to comment stating the information was confidential.
Furthermore, when quizzed about the possibility of an electric four door car it was informed that Mahindra is studying the market and in the future a four door variant of the e2o could be launched.
