Centuro, the 110cc commuter bike launched by Mahindra earlier this month, comes with a host of segment first features, a mileage of 85.4 kmpl, all for an attractive price of Rs 45,000. Clearly, the bike has managed to garner a lot of attention among the target customer because Mahindra has managed to sell an impressive 10,000 units in just 18 days.

Bangalore, July 24, 2013: Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd., a part of the USD 16.2 billion Mahindra Group, today announced that it has received an overwhelming response to its all new Mahindra Centuro motorcycle with over 10,000 bookings being made by customers across India within 3 weeks of launch.

The Mahindra Centuro was launched on July 1. Designed entirely in-house at the company's world-class, state-of-the-art R&D Centre in Pune, the Mahindra Centuro represents Mahindra Two Wheelers' commitment to emerge as a serious player in the Indian two wheeler market.

The Mahindra Centuro sports a host of patented category innovations which address practical consumer needs that have never been seen before in motorcycles. It is powered by Mahindra's indigenously developed intelligent MCi-5 (Micro Chip ignited-5 curve) engine that responds smartly to the need for power and fuel economy, delivering a power output of 8.5 BHP @ 7500 RPM, 8.5 Nm of peak torque @ 5500 rpm and an astounding mileage of 85.4 kmpl (ARAI).
