KTM RC390 Images, Specifications Leaked Ahead Of Debut
The 2014 KTM RC390, the faired, sports bike version of the 390 Duke has been revealed ahead of its debut at the EICMA thanks to leaked images from KTM's Canadian website.
News about RC390 first emerged a couple of years ago. Then earlier this year we got our first good look at images of the bike or at least the pre-production junior cup racing spec version of it.
As is already known the new leaked images once again reveal the idea behind the design. Underneath the Moto3 inspired design of the sports bike is the same mechanical parts that are found in the 390 Duke. For KTM in Europe, the bike perfectly fits the bill as a beginner's racebike (For A2 license holders). For Indians its going to be another welcome addition to the suddenly growing number of affordable performance bikes.

It's not just the added fairings that makes the RC390 different from the 390 Duke. For starters, the RC390 has clip-on handlebars which facilitates more aggressive riding positions.

The trellis frame is exposed in the tail section, unlike in the 390 where it is covered by bodywork. The bike also gets a sharper tail and more prominent split seats.

At the front the headlights are totally different as well, with the individual lamps mounted horizontally instead of vertically.

The LCD instrument panel, though not seen in the images, will likely be different as well. Check out the remaining slides for detailed tech specs and images.
