KTM Duke 390 India Launch On May 25
KTM has revealed the launch date for the Duke 390 in India rather silently. KTM, on its Facebook page has shared a calendar featuring the Duke 390, for the month of May 2013. The text in bold letters reads "Grab the lead come what may' and below the word ‘May' is the calendar, with KTM orange highlights on two dates. May 1st and May 25th. There could not be a clearer indication that KTM intends to finally launch the much awaited Duke 390 in the country.
The Duke 390 received its first press launch a couple of weeks back in its home country, Austria. This was the first indication that the launch date for the Duke 390 was near. KTM first debuted the Duke 390 at EICMA in Milan late last year.
The Duke 390 is powered by a 43 HP engine, which is nearly twice as powerful as its 200cc cousin. The bike is expected to be priced in the region of INR 2 lakhs due to the fact that it will be built in India by Bajaj. With its launch Indian motorcycle enthusiasts will at last get the opportunity to own a high performance motorcycle without blasting a massive hole in their pockets.
