Horex VR6 Classic Is A Toned Down VR6 Roadster
We do not generally talk about motorcycle brands that do not, at least remotely, concern India. Horex here for example, is a German motorcycle brand, we are sure, most of us have never heard about. It serves a niche market, even in Europe where it has a presence in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
However, Horex, as a brand that makes motorcycles, has been around since 1920. The company did go under in 1960 and was taken over by Daimler-Benz. The company came back to life in 2010 and decided to start its new life with massive supercharged six cylinder engined bikes!! Now you know why we are talking about Horex don't you?
The only model that is offered by Horex is the VR6. The VR6 Roadster was the product which came out last year. The company has now announced a slightly less powerful, more manageable VR6 Classic.
The VR6 Roadster comes with a 161 HP 1,218cc motor. There is also a supercharged 200 HP variant. The upcoming VR6 Classic on the other hand will be easier to tame. The six cylinder engine has been tuned down so that it now generates 'just' 124 HP and 88 lb-ft of peak torque. By the way, you can listen to the 200HP engine in this video here.

While the engine is impressive, the bike is also a beauty to behold, in its own right. The twin exhaust, for instance integrates the the outlet from all 6 cylinders. Not something you get to see very often. You may or may not like the bike's design, but you'll have to agree that it looks like a big brute and we love that.
