Honda Looking To Launch A New Automatic Scooters Soon
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has been pretty active in the commuter motorcycle segment lately. That does not mean the company is not concentrating on the lucrative automatic scooter market. In fact, a new model is likely to join its already abundant scooter lineup.
According to an ACP report, the new model is going to be introduced this very month. However, the sole information concerning the mystery scooter that is available is its codename - K24A, apart from the knowledge that the scooter will also belong to the 110cc segment.
The engine powering the new scooter is hence likely to be the same 109cc unit that powers the existing models. Incorporating the Honda Efficiency Technology, mileage is also likely to remain the same, at 60 kmpl.

Honda will manufacture the new model at its Manesar plant, initially limiting production to 700 units per month. Eventually, production will be ramped up to 1,00,000 units per annum.
In its bid to surpass Hero MotoCorp and become the number one two wheeler manufacturer in India Honda intends to launch a new motorcycle every three months. On the development front the company is said to be working on a sub-100cc motorcycle, set for a 2015 launch.
