Honda Training Delhi Women In Self Defence, Riding

The first phase of the Self Defence Training Camp & Road safety workshop which began on May 14 concluded yesterday. The camps were held in Kirpal Bagh Ashram in Model Town, at the Special Police Unit for Women and Children's training hall in Nanak Pura, and at the Sports Complex in Jamia Milia University. The second phase began yesterday at the Sneh International School in Rajdhani Enclave and will go on till June 5th.
First time women riders will be taught how to ride automatic scooters at the Road Safety workshop, along with training them on the basics of road safety. A special training machine has been imported which simulates "110 potentially hazardous traffic conditions and increases Rider's ability to predict dangers in a safe and practical manner." Also, trained professionals will provide "Mounting Dismounting tips & basic Riding Posture Training"
Furthermore, Honda is also conducting free two wheeler training camps for women with a unique registration opportunity. Such training camps will soon be held across Delhi in Traffic Parks. Honda is well known for its social initiatives across the world and the on going initiative comes at a time when atrocities against women are on the rise in the capital.
