Honda CBR300R Likely To Replace CBR250R; Revealed In CIMAMotor Show
Honda has unveiled the new CBR300R at the China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition (CIMAMotor) in Chongqing, China. The CBR300R is not exclusive to China, but a global model. This means eventually it will make its way to India as well, where it is likely to replace the existing CBR250R.
Honda currently exports the CBR250R it manufacturers in its Thailand plant to various countries around the globe. The upcoming CBR300R will also be manufactured in the same plant.

Technical details of Honda CBR300R have not yet been released. But visual changes compared to the CBR250R can be recognized from the two available official images. The most obvious change is the twin headlight, which is the same as the larger CBR500R. The same can be said about the exhaust.
The fairings differ from the 250R as well and so does the seats and rear end of the bike, which bear a sharper design. Meanwhile, the new engine is most likely the same as the 250R, but with a larger displacement.

It makes sense for Honda to replace the 250R with a 300R considering its arc rival Kawasaki has done the same. The new 300R will level the playing ground. In India, if the the new 300R is offered for the same price as the 250R it will provide better value for money. Particularly since the launch of the KTM 390 Duke ABS.
More details are expected to be released soon.
