Hero MotoCorp Begins Overseas Operations

Hero MotoCorp has started its operations in the Central American countries of Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras. The world's largest motorcycle manufacturer has taken up Indy Motos as its local partner, which will be the authorised distributer.

Hero MotoCorp has started rolling out both its mass market motorcycles such as HF Dawn, Splendor NXG, Super Splendor, Glamour and Achiever as well as premium models like Hunk and Karizma.

Hero will play to its strength, that is offering affordable and fuel efficient motorcycles. Products will be sold via its existing network of outlets, but in time more outlets and dealers will be added.

Following the three countries, Hero MotoCorp will expand operations to other Central American and South American countries as well as Africa.

Hero MotoCorp also has its presence outside of India in Bangladesh, Colombia, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
