The last product that came out of Confederate Motorcycles was the intimidating Confederate X132 Hellcat and that was back in 2011. So, it's about time the Birmingham, Alabama, U.S.A based manufacturer announced a new model.

Confederate second gen Fighter

Its latest offering is called Confederate C2 P-51 Fighter and is the very first Pierre Terblanche era motorcycle from the company. Pierre Terblanche is a design guru who was appointed as the Design Head earlier this year.
Terblanche is a legend in the world of motorcycles, with names such as Piaggio and Moto Guzzi in his curriculum vitae. But Terblanche is most well known for his former association with Ducati.

Confederate C2 P-51 Fighter, is a second generation machine that and as the name suggests, belongs to the Fighter line of motorcycles. The bike features several improvements over the original design, says Terblanche, but one of the most significant being the 40 lbs weight reduction through the use of a new billet aluminium crankcase for the V-Twin engine.

Keeping with Confederate tradition plenty of aluminum, titanium, stainless steel and carbon fiber has been used in the construction of the Confederate C2 P-51 Fighter.

Like all Confederates, production will be limited. Just 31 units of the C2 P-51 Fighter will be built, with production starting in June or July of 2014. Expect the latest Fighter to cost over $100k.
