Alfa Romeo 4C IFD Bicycle Accompanies The Sports Car
Alfa Romeo 4C sports car pricing has been announced for European markets. Production will be limited to 3500 units annually, with 1,000 units allotted for European buyers. While the 4C makes a bold statement on its own, Alfa Romeo decided buyers also require a two wheeler to match the stature the 4C. The ‘4C IFD Bicycle' project was the result.
The 4C IFD bicycle is something like a companion product, developed on the same design principles as the 4C sports car. Like the 4C, it is light, yet strong, featuring the dynamic, streamline style of the car. Unlike the car, however, the bicycle will be a limited production model, with a starting price of 3500 euro.
4C IFD Bicycle has been designed by Alfa Romeo Style Centre and is hand built by Compagnia Ducale from Italy.
The IFD in the name stands for Innovative Frame Design. The frame has a shape of a simplified '4' shape. The 'C' shaped cross section of the carbon-fiber frame is made from the same advanced materials used in the construction of the 4C sports car.
Just like the sports car, which tips the scales at just 895 kg, with a weight to power ratio of 4 kg/HP, the 4C IFD bicycle weighs only 6.90 kg.

The technologically advanced lifestyle bicycle's price will range from 3500 euros to 9000 euro, based on equipments and will be available from December.
