Triumph To Set Up Rs 215 Cr Plant Near Bangalore

The motorcycle manufacturer had showcased its India range of products at the Delhi Auto Expo which attracted a huge crowd. The product line displayed at the motor show included the parallel-twin, Bonneville, the iconic naked roadsters Speed Triple and Street Triple, the off-roader Tiger 800XC, class-leading supersport bike Daytona 675 and the cruisers Storm and Rocket III.
Triumph is expected to assemble and manufacture its made for India motorcycles at the new plant near Bangalore. The committee which cleared the proposed project has also offered also offered incentives and concessions in accordance with the Industrial Policy of the State.
Moreover, the motorcycle has also been asked to give employment to kins of people who lose land for the setting up of the manufacturing unit. The state industrial areas development board and the electricity supply company has been instructed by the committee to supply 1.92 lakh litres a day (LPD) water and service power requirement of 4000 kva respectively.
Triumph has also been asked by the government to adhere to provide local employment in the project according to the Dr Sarojini Mahishi report. The cheapest motorcycle from the motorcycle manufacturer, Bonneville comes with a price tag of Rs 5.50 lakhs.
