Enfield Thunderbird 500 Launched

Electronic Fuel Injection, Projection type headlamps, Digital Electronic Ignition are some of the features to look out for on the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500.

The Thunderbird 500 gets Telescopic, 41 mm forks upfront. The company has given the new Thunderbird 500 a 20 liter fuel tank capacity as well.

The overall kerb weight of the Thunderbird 500 is 195 kgs. The engine on this bike is capable of producing 27.2 bhp @ 5250 rpm and 41.3 Nm @ 4000 rpm.

The Thunderbird also gets a 5 speed constant mesh gearbox along with a wet, multi plate clutch.

The new Thunderbird 500 retains the family DNA which is Made like a gun, goes like a Bullet!

The Thunderbird 500 will be offered in 4 colors which are Midnight Black, Matt Metallic Black, Artic Winter Black.

The engine on the Thunderbird 500 is capable of churning out 27.2 bhp @ 5250 rpm and 41.3 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. The engine is mated to 5 speed constant mesh and the fuel is supplied by an electronic fuel injection system.

The Thunderbird 500 will feature twin gas charged shock absorbers rear suspension. The braking duties are done by disc. The front disc is a two piston caliper 280mm Disc and the rear disc is a single piston caliper 240mm disc.

One striking feature which hard core fanatics may or may not like is the projection type headlamp and tail lamp with led with position guide lights. However lets not forget lighting episodes on certain Royal Enfield models at times are really pathetic.

The Thunderbird 500 will get a digital cluster [Speedometer | Rpm Counter] with LCD. The new thunderbird 500 will be offered in Midnight Black, Matt Metallic Black and Artic Winter Black.
