Will Kawasaki Launch Ninja 300R and 400R?
The Kawasaki Ninja 250R and Ninja 650R are two best selling models for the company in India. By adding two more bikes to this line-up Kawasaki will be providing more variety to its buyers.
As the name indicates, the Kawasaki Ninja 300R will be powered by a 300cc twin cylinder engine while the Kawasaki Ninja 400R will be powered by a 399cc engine. The Ninja 300r is expected to have a peak power of 39bhp and the Ninja 400R should get a slightly higher power figure of 43bhp.
There are rumours that the new Ninja 300R would in fact replace the 250R in the American market. Even if that happens The US market will have three bikes in the Kawasaki Ninja line-up. If Kawasaki does launch these new bikes next year, we might have to launch a little longer to see them on Indian roads. This is due to the fact that Kawasaki bikes are manufactured and sold by Bajaj Auto. Now Bajaj has to decide if it wants to bring these new Kawasaki bikes to India.
The most notable aspect about this new bikes will be their engine capacities. We have two broad segments of sports bikes with the 250cc bikes and the 650 cc bikes. The new Kawasaki bikes will create a new segment in between the two. This might trigger a response from other manufacturers and in the coming years we might see sportsbikes powered by 300cc to 500cc engines.
