Hero To Phase Out Impulse, Ignitor and Maestro

By Staff

Hero Moto Corp's drama kick-starts once again. This time around the company has announced that they are phasing out Impulse and Ignitor motorcycles and Maestro Scooter. These motorcycles were launched with the technology assistance from earlier partner Honda Motor Co of Japan.

What's Hero's Excuse?

Pawan Munjal, MD of Hero MotoCorp, said the company wants an independent powerhouse R&D set-up, for which it has ventured into a new technology agreement with an European design and technology provider. This tie-up would make it the third such partner since its split from Honda last year. He said going forward, Hero MotoCorp wants to expand products with its new partners so that it can replace those developed with Honda.

In the first place the Impulse was a carbon copy of the Honda NXR 150 Bros. Hope the future would see fresh and radical designs from Hero Moto Corp - Stay Tuned!
