Hero Registers One Lakh Sales In Single Day
Hero MotoCorp's record sales on Dhanteras is a result of increased demand for motorcycles such as the Splendor, Passion and Maestro and Pleasure scooters. The newly launched products Ignitor and the refreshed Hunk Extreme also helped.
The Hero Splendor is not the world's highest selling bike for no reason. It continued its dominance and Hero delivered more than 40,000 units of the Splendor on Dhanteras.
Hero MotoCorp has seen a huge jump in sales this October and the trend is continuing in November too. The company sold as many as 1.8 lakh units of the Splendor in October and the bike's year to date sales (April - October 2012) has already crossed the 14 lakh mark. The Hero Passion has recorded YTD sales of 8 lakh units.
Hero MotoCorp is expecting the upward sales swing to continue for the rest of the financial year. Anil Dua, Sr. Vice President (Marketing & Sales), Hero MotoCorp while sharing the sales information with the media has said: " We expect this trend to persist, and are looking at posting record retail sales this festive season. Adding to this festive cheer is our brand new motorcycle - the Passion X Pro."
