Dreaming Big, Flying High
I Started riding when I was 18 years old, I guess it all started with me knowing deep down that I would not be happy holding down a regular job, in a way I was always meant to find my way onto a motorcycle and come to think about it I had always been doing crazy stuff even on my bicycle while I was growing up.

When and how did you start your career in Xtreme Sports?
I Started riding when I was 18 years old, I guess it all started with me knowing deep down that I would not be happy holding down a regular job, in a way I was always meant to find my way onto a motorcycle and come to think about it I had always been doing crazy stuff even on my bicycle while I was growing up.
What are some of the challenges you faced in your career?
The hardest part in this profession is not being given whats due to athletes like myself. The sport on its own is unforgiving with injuries, but we also find ourselves fighting to keep our dreams alive because its so hard to find sponsors to support people like us.
Do you advice parents to encourage their kids to take up this sport?
My family never in their wildest dreams ever thought that I would become an extreme sports athlete, but then again life never really happens as we plan. I think in the future more kids will take up extreme sports not because its cool but because its who they are , in other words i think it defines me, it is my way of self expression, like an artist, painter or a musician. No reason why this should be discouraged by parents.
What's your advice for youngsters who wish to pursue this sport?
Kids who like to ride should do so but with proper guidance and on a closed circuit. I think its important as adults to show younger generation the right way to do a sport like this. Its important that kids stay off the roads to showcase their skills and stick to the race track .
Is Xtreme sports dangerous? If Yes, what are the precautions one needs to take?
Yes to a certain degree this sport is dangerous, but in life you are here one minute gone the next.
There is safety gear that will help prevent injuries and anybody who rides off road should take all the necessary precautions. You should also know what one's limits are and should try and ride within those limits.
Are there enough professional arena's in India to practice this Sport?
The beauty about off road riding is that India has great potential. You could find plenty of riding spots if you really look. India has a 6 round supercross championship but many of the practice tracks are privately owned. Anybody with a little bit of farm land can have a track !
Does any sport authority or company support Xtreme Sports in India?
The FMSCI [Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India] does govern this sport of Motocross/ Supercross in India.
How much time and practice do you dedicate to this Sport?
Over the years I have spent majority of my time riding and practicing, Supercross/ Motocross is
a sport like any where we practice 3 to 4 days a week and then also work on the physical aspect
of riding that is training in the gym and cardio.I have made many trips abroad to train in America and Australia.
Will Indians get a CS Santosh Xtreme Sport Institute in the near future?
I am currently working on making a sport like this available to the general public.
My facility should be up and running in 2 years time. It would be the first of its kind and I hope
that I can to some extent share my love of Off road riding with everybody.
At the moment can a youngster be trained by CS Santosh? If Yes, How?
Currently I am busy traveling and racing, but when I do get time I do spend some time training amateurs who are currently involved in the sport. You can always contact me on my page on facebook/santoshfanclub
Are you looking for any support in any way? If yes, how can you be contacted?
There is always a need for support for people like me in India. We are a in a way a rare breed and would be great if we got support in any manner.I think of myself as a modern day Kashtriya!
Please do find me on Facebook/santoshfanclub
