Castrol Launches 1st Gearless Scooter Engine Oil

Castrol has recently launched Castrol Activ Scooter - India's first gearless scooter specific engine oil. Castrol Activ Scooter with incredible Scootek technology ® is an advanced, low friction, 4-stroke engine oil designed specifically for modern automatic scooter engines.

Gearless scooter engine requirements are different than motorcycle engines & usage of conventional motorcycle engine oil in gearless scooters does not give lively performance. Castrol Activ Scooter which has been specially designed for gearless scooters has Scootek technology which lowers the friction & provides additional heat protection.

Castrol two-wheeler oils category Manager Kedar Apte said: "Most consumers are not aware about the need for special engine oil for gearless scooters. Modern gearless scooter engines need low friction oils for optimum performance and need to be protected from high temperature as the engine is compact and enclosed. The special formulation of Castrol Activ Scooter with Scootek Technology® reduces heat induced engine oil oxidation by 30% and engine friction by 24%, compared to ordinary oils.
