Bajaj Pulsar 200NS Launch Likely By Next Week
Reports are that Bajaj Auto MD & CEO Rajiv Bajaj confirmed the news in a recent interview with a news channel. The new Pulsar 200NS was actually expected to arrive in April, but delayed.
The new Pulsar 200NS which was unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo this year will be the first in range of the next generation Pulsar models. Bajaj is planning to launch lower displacement Pulsar variants as well a powerful 350-375cc model in the months to come.
The NS in the new Pulsar 200NS indicates naked sports, clearly showing Bajaj's plans to move towards niche sports bikes from its current line-up of commuter bikes. Expected to be priced below the Rs 1 lakh mark, the new Pulsar 200NS will feature the best technology ever used by a Bajaj bike.
The new Pulsar 200NS promises to offer the best in class performance, emission as well as fuel economy thanks to the new cutting edge technology used in its DTS-i engine. The 199.5cc single-cylinder engine produces a power output of 23.17 BHP and maximum torque of 18.3 Nm. The new Pulsar will reach 100 km/h below 10 seconds before hitting a top speed of 136 km/h.
It would be interesting to watch the competition between Bajaj and Honda (2nd and 3rd biggest motorcycle manufacturers in the country) once the former launches the new Pulsar 200NS. Expect the bookings to start anytime soon with deliveries by end of the month.
