Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS Bookings Open;Priced At Rs 94K
After an array of rumours and speculations, Bajaj Auto has finally opened bookings for the much awaited Pulsar 200 NS motorbike. Bajaj, which started accepting bookings for the Pulsar 200 NS
in Pune, has priced the motorbike at a highly competitive price tag of Rs 94,000 (on-road price, Pune).
Pune is the home market of the motorcycle manufacturer, the reason for which the company choose to begin bookings in the city first. Bajaj, which will start bookings in other cities according to schedule is expected to start deliveries by mid-June.
Bajaj had first shown the Pulsar 200 NS at the Delhi Auto Expo and from then auto enthusiasts had been eager about the launch of the bike. The new Pulsar 200NS was actually expected to arrive in April, but delayed.
The NS in the new Pulsar 200NS indicates naked sports, clearly showing Bajaj's plans to move towards niche sports bikes from its current line-up of commuter bikes. The new Pulsar 200NS will feature the best technology ever used by any Bajaj bike.
The new Pulsar 200NS promises to offer the best in class performance, emission as well as fuel economy (58 kmpl) thanks to the new cutting edge technology used in its DTS-i engine. The 199.5cc single-cylinder engine produces a power output of 23.17 bhp and maximum torque of 18.3 Nm. The new Pulsar will reach 100 km/h below 10 seconds before hitting a top speed of 136 km/h.
The Pulsar 200 NS shares a 6 speed manual gearbox with the KTM Duke 200 which was launched recently. In fact, the back end design of both bikes are also similar. The new Pulsar 200NS will be the first in range of the next generation Pulsar models that will take on the likes of Hero Karisma ZMR and the KTM Duke 200 which are highly priced than the new Pulsar.
