Bajaj's Pulsar 200NS Packs Several Surprises

Bajaj Auto has added yet another future best seller in its line-up by unveiling the new Pulsar 200NS. The much awaited bike from India's second largest bike manufacturer was unveiled by Bajaj Auto's managing director Rajiv Bajaj.

The NS in the new Pulsar 200NS indicates naked sports, clearly showing Bajaj's plans to move towards niche sports bikes from its current line-up of commuter bikes. Expected to be priced below the Rs.1 lakh mark, the new Pulsar 200NS will feature the best technology ever used by a Bajaj bike.

Speaking about the company's latest product, Mr Bajaj said: “ The Pulsar 200NS is best middle-class sports bike. It will be commercially launched beginning next fiscal through 600 dealers across the country. The price is expected to be below Rs 1 lakh."

The Pulsar 200NS promises to offer the best in class performance, emission as well as fuel economy thanks to the new cutting edge technology used in its DTS-i engine. The DTS-i engine was first introduced in 2003 in the Pulsar and it now gets a SOHC 5-valve triple spark system that delivers superior performance from the engine.

K Srinivas, President-Motorcycles, Bajaj Auto, said "Pulsar has now celebrated a 'decade of dominance' with 10 years of leadership in the Indian performance motorcycle market. These sporty iconic motorcycles have been a testimony to the company's engineering prowess. The new bike from Bajaj will be launched in the market in the next financial year. So you could see the new Pulsar on Indian roads as soon as April.
