Royal Enfield Cafe Racer Launch Imminent?

Royal Enfield had unveiled a lithe looking concept Motorcycle in the 2010 Delhi Auto Expo called the Cafe Racer. The Cafe Racer had created quite abuzz during the auto expo and fans wanted to see this new bike as a production model soon.

However Royal Enfield can be blamed of disappointing its fans as it did not bring out the Cafe Racer as a production bike. The Cafe Racer remains a concept motorcycle and is still under going testing. Royal Enfield only unveiled the new Thunderbird 500 as a new model.

The Indian cruise bike manufacturer has confirmed the Thunderbird 500 will be launched in India soon but has not confirmed anything with regard to the Cafe Racer. The Cafe Racer is a tribute to old British motorcycles such as the Continental GT. Powered by a 500cc engine the Cafe Racer is fitted with slik tyres that offer maximum grip.

Royal Enfield has been testing the vehicle in Britain and had earlier released a video of the Cafe Racer while it was being speed tested. Media reports say the Cafe Racer could be launched by the first quarter of next year.
